These terms set the ground rules for using jointhehometeam.com and the resources, events, and services we offer through it. We have written them to be readable rather than impressive. By using this site, you are agreeing to them.
Your Agreement
By accessing or using this website, subscribing to our emails, registering for an event, or purchasing a resource, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to make a purchase or register for an event through this site.
Using This Site
You are welcome here. We ask that you use the site in good faith. You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, our accounts, or our systems.
- Interfere with the site's operation, security, or availability.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect information about other users.
- Impersonate The Home Team, our staff, or anyone else.
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.
Our Content
Everything on this site — the curriculum, written material, videos, podcast episodes, graphics, photography, logos, and design — is owned by The Home Team or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
What you may do
- Read, watch, listen to, and use our free content for your personal and family use.
- Share links to our pages, episodes, and posts.
- Quote short excerpts with attribution to The Home Team.
What requires permission
- Reproducing, republishing, or distributing our material, in whole or in substantial part.
- Using our content in a church, school, or organizational setting beyond what your purchased license allows.
- Using our name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership.
- Creating derivative works or translations.
Church and ministry licensing is exactly the kind of thing we want to say yes to — just ask us first.
Content You Submit
If you send us a testimony, story, question, review, or comment, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to use, reproduce, and share it in connection with the ministry — including in marketing, on social media, or on this site.
If you would rather we not share something you sent, tell us and we will honor that. If we plan to use your story publicly in a significant way, we will make a good-faith effort to ask first.
You are responsible for what you submit. Please do not send us anything unlawful, defamatory, or that you do not have the right to share.
Purchases & Registrations
Curriculum, digital resources, event tickets, and merchandise are sold through our partners — Stripe, Brushfire, and our online store. Your transaction is subject to that provider's terms in addition to these.
- Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
- Digital access is granted to you personally and is not transferable unless your purchase explicitly includes a group or church license.
- Event details — including dates, venues, and speaker lineups — may change. We will communicate changes to registrants as soon as we can.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if there is an error in pricing or availability, and to issue a full refund in that case.
Refunds & Cancellations
Event registrations are handled through our ticketing partner, and their refund window applies to your order. Digital curriculum is generally non-refundable once accessed. If something has genuinely gone wrong, contact us — we would rather make it right than hide behind a policy.
If we cancel an event outright, registrants will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a future event.
Donations & Partnership
Donations and recurring partnership gifts are processed through Givebutter. Gifts are generally non-refundable. You may cancel a recurring gift at any time through the link in your confirmation email or by contacting us.
Any partner benefits — such as curriculum access — are provided as a thank-you and may change over time. Consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your gift.
Third-Party Services
This site links to services we do not control, including our online store, ticketing platform, podcast platforms, payment processors, and hotel partners. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Their terms govern your use of them.
Not Professional Advice
Our resources, podcast, conferences, and coaching are offered for encouragement, discipleship, and practical equipping. They are not a substitute for licensed counseling, medical care, legal advice, or financial advice.
If you or someone in your family is in crisis, please reach out to a qualified professional. If there is an immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. In the U.S. you can also reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
Disclaimer of Warranties
This site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that the content will meet your particular needs or produce any particular result in your family.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Home Team and its leaders, staff, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or our resources.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the ministry grows. When we make meaningful changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect.
